Despite the international financial crisis, 2009 still witnessed steady and fast economic development trend in Jilin Province. The province’s GDP was 720.318 billion Yuan, increasing by 13.3% year on year; the incremental value of scale industrial enterprises was 292.665 billion Yuan, increasing by 16.8% year on year; the revenues of main businesses of private enterprises increased by 26.2%; the social consumer goods retails increased by 19.0%, all ranking first in China; the total annual fixed assets investments were 725.950 billion Yuan, increasing by 29.5% over the previous year.
Opening-up made a rather great breakthrough. The total accumulative foreign import & export value of Jilin Province was US$ 11.747 billion, decreasing by 11.9% year on year.
The total export value was US$ 3.132 billion, lowering by 34.4% year on year; and the total import value was US$ 8.616 billion, up by 0.6% year on year. The actually-deposited foreign capital of Jilin Province was US$ 3.567 billion, increasing by 18.6% year on year; the foreign direct investment amount increased by 14.7%. 52 of the world top 500 power enterprises had settled in Jilin Province. Jilin Province had attracted RMB 165.601 million from other provinces, marking a year-on-year increase by 35.5%.
